This is an original watercolour painting of a robin, perched on a branch, surrounded by a blur of leaves. It's painted on St Cuthberts mill 12 x 9 watercolour paper, using professional watercolour paints by Schmincke, Daniel Smith & Michael Harding.
I photographed this beautiful robin at a local nature reserve called Forest Farm, he was perched just above me in a tree near an old wooden gate, overlooking a big field. He was a little windswept, which showed some of the darker deep blues on the breast.
