This watercolour painting of a wagtail forms part of my birds & animals series. Birds have become some of my favourite things to paint, they're so beautiful and so many have really beautiful coloured feathers which are a joy to paint.
Why a wagtail? On leaving the post office recently I saw a little wagtail outside it, we don't see them very often around Caerphilly. They were also my mums favourite bird - I immediately felt inspired and wanted to go home and paint one.
This is an original watercolour painting, unframed but mounted. The mount size is A4 and will fit an A4 frame.
